Magazine Writing Intensive
August 28-29, Chautauqua Park, Boulder Colorado
MAGAZINE WRITING INTENSIVE
This workshop, taught by Michelle Theall, will teach the nuts and bolts of four different types of magazine writing, along with tips on what editors are looking for and how to get their attention in today’s publishing climate. Whether you’re a beginner or already starting to place articles for pay, you’ll take your writing and business to the next level. PLUS, all attendees may enter an article to be considered for publication by Women’s Adventure magazine (see last year’s essay winner).
WORKSHOP LEVEL
Open to writers of all levels and backgrounds
SUBMIT FOR PUBLICATION
One month prior to the workshop, you’ll be asked to submit a 250-word personal essay, travel short, profile, or front of the book piece for publication consideration in Women’s Adventure magazine (see web site and archived digital issues before you submit). We’ll also be using these pieces in class to identify writing opportunities and the revision process. Click here for additional contest rules.
