Workshops
About Our Workshops
The Creative Conferences were created by industry insiders working in the magazine, book, and Web publishing professions. The goal of our events is to give attendees access to networking, instruction, and inspiration in a casual and non-intimidating environment. Heading into our fourth year, we’ve received excellent ratings from our students and many of them have gone on to achieve their career and creative goals. For a list of the writers, photographers, and editors who have been a part of previous conferences over the years, click here.
Exciting Changes for 2010
As our alumni know, every year, we try something a little different. This year, we decided that we needed a more creative venue to host our events. So we’ve moved all three events to Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado—situated just beneath the Flatirons mountains. Inspiring reflection and great photos are right out the door, along with hiking, running, and wildlife watching on miles of trails.
We also listened to your feedback and have made this year’s conferences more intensive and comprehensive. All three workshops will have curriculum-based instruction along with exercises, analysis, and editing. The workshops will be less about networking and more about creating your best work. Greater teacher/student interaction will be the hallmark of our 2010 events. Get ready to learn, work, meet great people, and have some fun.
